Based in Belfast, I’m a BABCP-accredited cognitive behavioural therapist and I can help you to overcome whatever you’re facing. I offer sessions face-to-face or via Skype and my aim is to always help you get the most from these sessions. Using a collaborative, sympathetic, and sensitive approach, I help you to realise your goals, learn key skills, and get to grips with your mental health, all at your own pace. If you want to get right with yourself, get in touch now!
At its core, therapy requires trust and openness. I respect the trust placed in me by my clients to explore difficult areas of their lives and earn that trust through my empathic and sensitive approach.
I am accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the main body that ensures high standards of conduct and practice for CBT therapists. With my additional training in compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and sensorimotor psychotherapy, we can work flexibly to make sure my approach matches you. I regularly attend additional training workshops and courses to bring you the most up to date and effective therapeutic techniques – all tailored to you.
Having experienced my own difficulties with mental ill health before I became a therapist, I practice what I preach. I continually use the skills I teach clients to keep myself in good mental health. This has given me an intuitive understanding of what works and what doesn’t. I work with the principle that I would never ask a client to do something I’d be unwilling to do myself. Therapy takes courage and my clients can trust that I’ll go to those difficult places with them, whenever they’re ready.
